The Quiet Leader is a “living philosophy” on leadership that challenges our societal perceptions of what it means to be a leader, and contends that anyone can be a real, effective leader without depending upon money or power to retain influence, and thus, retain one’s ability to lead.
The philosophy behind The Quiet Leader is one of consciously undertaking a lifestyle grounded in giving, charity, and inherent optimism, that intends to subtly influence others to undertake similar behavior.
This form of leadership and its “quiet” nature is inherently positive and selfless. It stresses specific emphasis upon giving thanks for one’s gifts and privileges in life, helping enable others to realize their gifts and privileges, spreading happiness and optimism to others, and truly leading one’s life by quiet example.
Have you ever considered the act of smiling at a stranger on the street as an act of leadership?
Probably not. But that’s why you’re here at TheQuietLeader.com.
The Quiet Leader espouses a radical and unique form of leadership. Quiet leaders don’t depend on followers, money, or power as means to influence and effectiveness, as traditional political leaders do.
Traditional gauges of success — such as followers, money and power — are what give give traditional leaders their influence. However, what gives them their influence is limited and finite.
While leaders in political and financial fields can grow to gain many followers, vast amounts of money and power, they also come to depend on these things — for when they loose their followers, money, or power (that which gives them their influence), they also lose their influence, their effectiveness, the very things that make them leaders.
As such, the very things that give leaders their ability to lead, also limit a leader’s true influence.
Traditional leaders who depend upon financial support, followers or power by way of political office depend on those things. And when they lose their money, office, popular support or power, they lose influence. They are no longer leaders.
The Quiet Leader changes that.
To be a “quiet leader” is to not depend upon limitations to that ironically give most traditional leaders their vast influence. A quiet leader only depends upon his or her attitude and actions every day, such as the way they interact with friends, family and strangers alike.
But who or what does a quiet leader “lead”?
By living the life of a quiet leader, one’s selfless, positive influence inspires others who are routinely touched by the quiet leader’s example to lead their lives in similar way.
Those who interact with a quiet leader — consciously or subconsciously — begin to emulate the positive nature and the selfless behavior of a quiet leader.
They, in essence, become “followers.”
And so, to be a quiet leader means to be a very unique type of leader. This form of leadership is one that is not discussed, advertised or bragged about. The influence and effect of one’s leadership necessarily depends on the quiet example that they put forth in every day life.
Quiet leaders are able to realize the positive influence that they are exerting by witnessing changes in those around them.
The Quiet Leader is a radical and refreshingly new philosophy that holds unlimited potential, and promises to inspire millions to undertake a selfless form of quiet leadership in everyday life.

I think it is important to differentiate between optimism and HOPE. The very substance of Hope is that it
is a gift to each of us that keeps us filled with whatever we really need when circumstances and obstacles arise to the contrary of the transcendentals that are at the heart of our “Being”. These are: (being, unity, reality, identity (as our uniqueness), truth and goodness. Beauty being the splendor of all of these together. Thank you for having the courage to create this blog.
Beautifully put. Thank you for your insight and for your compliments!
